Kinda new member from Dallas

Signed up recently for the upcoming Texas Invitational (mostly to checkout the 175 mph class) to TSS Forum. Hope to have a good time and put names to faces. Signed up to the class with my 13' Shelby GT500, it has a relatively simple setup. 4.7 Kenne Bell and a built 5.8 Liter mod motor long block all built and tuned in-house at HPP Racing in Lewisville, TX. It made 1200 flat this past winter to the wheels, with the billet crankshaft going in the engine I'll feel more comfortable turning up the boost. Hoping to break the 1400 whp barrier, will post the new numbers, maybe open another thread once the current build session is over. Here are some pics of the car.

Welcome to the forum. We have a solid group of GT500 guys registered. Thanks for getting on board and see you soon!

FYI: When you get moment at the event, make sure to swing by the AC Motorsports rig. They have an awesome collection of Shelby GT500 with production numbers "00" and "01".

What does a 1200hp Mustang trap at TI? For that matter, Whats the fastest Mustang trap at TI? I'm guessing a Mustang would need 1500+ to trap 175mph.

Yeah, they're heavy and so on. There was a 1314 whp GT500 (Rowden Racing GT500) at the last even also with a KB 4.7, which ran a hilarious 156 mph then broke down. He's a bad drive and that car is just not running well by any means.

A 950 WHP 5.0 Coyote went 160 to put it in perspective. As for my car, I believe I could trap 170+ mph with my 1200 whp setting. A friend that I raced against here in Dallas and beaten went 171.8 or so at Runway Rivalry 2. I'm hoping to bring 1400 whp or more to TI. I really don't care to win the class or anything, just want to see how I stack up if I can, and race with Feldman that's all.

Currently the engine isn't still put together and might be together next week. I have my doubts about being able to make it to TI, but if I can, I'll give it my best shot.
